Like this page if you think that naked short selling isn't a bad thing, especially on Index Futures. Short selling is being used as a scarecrow by politics to avoid facing the real problems (such as debt).
It's in the best interest of the markets if there are at all times people whose interests is to sell and buy. It creates constant liquidity and allows bullish traders to sell stocks at a reasonable price in a bearish market (limits their loss).
The real issue is not short selling, it's National debts, CDS, excessive financial engineering (which often leads to disguise high risk investments into opaque financial products)...
